Surrey is undoubtedly one of the most outstanding regions for high quality golf courses anywhere in the world. Golfers from around the world will talk with great reverence about the Melbourne Sandbelt, and the sand hills around Pinehurst in North Carolina, but the Surrey Sandbelt which stretches just over the border into Berkshire, has a great many classic heathland golf courses, that are simply magnificent.
Oxford is world famous for it's University and more recently, it's shopping, as Bicester Village is now a major tourist attraction in it's own right, but there is some very challenging golf to be played in Oxfordshire.
